Just north of the quaint town Vanderpool, Texas is one of the state’s most gorgeous Natural Area’s. Covering 2,100+ acres of gorgeous texan countryside, Lost Maples is a hidden gem in South Texas.

Hosting 200,000 travelers per year, this State Park attracts visitors from across the country. Originally purchased from private owners, Lost Maples was later established on Sept. 1, 1979 for the public to explore. You can expect to see the most gorgeous array of colors changing amongst the trees while hiking the rocky trails of the park. Lost Maples offers multiple trails with varying levels of difficulty, and numerous primitive campsites.

This beautiful location should definitely be on that Bucket List!
